Horticulture therapist Mona Gold will present a demonstration at 11 am., April 30 on different types of containers and various gardening techniques for bringing color to balconies and patios. These techniques are ideal for the casual home gardener who wants to enjoy flowers and fresh vegetables without pulling heavy tools from the shed.
Ms. Gold possesses more than 35 years experience in teaching and practicing horticulture therapy. Currently, she provides instruction on adaptive gardening techniques across the region as part of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Speakers Bureau. Ms. Gold serves as a judge at the annual Philadelphia International Flower Show and received a horticulture therapy degree from Kansas State University.
Following the demonstration, lunch will be served by Beaumont's executive chef in the Austin Mansion.
