'Emily Greene Balch: The Roots of Her Global Citizenship and Internationalism' Lecture at Bryn Mawr College

Kristen E. Gwinn is the author of the newly-published Emily Greene Balch: The Long Road to Internationalism (The University of Illinois Press, 2010).  This is the first scholarly biography of Emily Balch, a member of Bryn Mawr’s first graduating class, Bryn Mawr’s only Nobel Peace Prize winner, and the namesake of the Emily Balch Seminars for first year students.  Kristen E. Gwinn holds a Ph.D. in History from The George Washington University, and is a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University History Department.
