Join Lower Merion Shade Tree Commission volunteers for an illustrated lecture focusing on local and regional efforts in suburban and urban forestry. Harriet Ruffin will discuss Shade Tree Commission efforts within Lower Merion such as the condition of the township’s tree canopy, and the 1 Million Tree Campaign in the Delaware Valley, while Patty Elkins will address regional economic benefits of trees and show us why protecting open space is good economic policy.
