Fiction writer Monique Truong will read from her novel, Bitter in the Mouth. Troung's first novel, first novel, The Book of Salt, was a New York Times Notable Book, won the New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award, the 2003 Bard Fiction Prize, the Stonewall Book Award-Barbara Gittings Literature Award and the 7th Annual Asian American Literary Award.
Troung is the recipient of a 2010 Guggenheim Fellowship.
The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing.
