Gladwyne Librarian Honored for Receiving Award
Conti has been the head of the Lower Merion Library System's Gladwyne Free Library since 1993.

Carolyn Conti, head librarian of Gladwyne Free Library, was honored recently at a joint meeting of the Boards of the Library Trustees and The Gladwyne Library League.
According to Lower Merion Township, the Southeast Chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association awarded Conti with the prestigious 2014 Patricia A. Dobbin Award for her dedication and service.
Conti has been the head of the Lower Merion Library System’s Gladwyne Free Library since 1993.

The Patricia A. Dobbin Award is given annually to a member of the library community of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and/or Philadelphia counties who demonstrates one or more of the characteristics of outstanding service, exceptional commitment, distinguished leadership, significant contributions, unique ability and sound judgment. The award was first presented posthumously to Patricia A. Dobbin in 1992.
Carolyn has worked in public libraries in Montgomery County, with the exception of a six-year stretch in New Hampshire, since 1978. She has been a member of SEPLA since 1997, serving over the years as Secretary, Chair, and as the Intellectual Freedom Chairperson.
