Harriton HS Is PA's 2nd Most Challenging School, Washington Post Says
The high school was also ranked the 492nd most challenging school in the country.
BRYN MAWR, PA – New rankings from the Washington Post have looked at high schools across the country and listed them by most challenging to least challenging. The Main Line area stood out among schools in Pennsylvania, with Harriton High School earning a great rank.
According to the Post, Harriton is Pennsylvania's second most challenging school.
Harriton was second to Julia R. Masterman in Philadelphia and beat out its companion school Lower Merion High School, which was ranked 15th in the state.

The ranks look at how students are challenged in the schools.
A ratio of 1.000 means the school had as many tests as graduates.
Their enrollment of 1,225 was complemented by 22 AP courses, according to the study. Their "index" measurement, which determined their placing, was 3.559; the school, therefore, had about that many tests per graduating student.
Harriton also boasts a 100 percent rate for students who attend a four-year college after graduating.
In addition, 69 percent of students attend a four-year college upon graduation.
