Local Eatery Donating Boxed Lunches To Bryn Mawr Hospital Staff

A restaurant in Montgomery County is donating 100 boxed lunches to the doctors, nurses and medical personnel at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

BRYN MAWR, PA — A Montgomery County eatery is chipping in to feed health care workers who are fighting the coronavirus.

On Friday, 100 boxed lunches will be delivered to doctors, nurses, and medical personnel at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

The meals are being donated by Savona Restaurant in Gulph Mills.

Included with the lunches will be a variety of sandwiches including Amish chicken, prosciutto and gruyere, and wood grilled vegetables and hummus. Boxes will also include toasted couscous; mandarin orange salad and Savona’s flourless chocolate brownie.

"Since the crisis began, we wanted to do something to say thank you to these doctors, nurses and medical professionals who are the true heroes,"Savona chef and owner Andrew Masciangelo said. "We are grateful for their tireless efforts and would like to help, a little, by offering some form of comfort in any way they can."

The meals will be dropped off at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
