House Explosion Under Investigation In Lower Merion
Breaking: Authorities in Lower Merion are investigating a loud explosion that could be heard across the township Sunday night.

LOWER MERION, PA — Authorities in Lower Merion are investigating a loud explosion that could be heard across the township Sunday night. Sources report it was a house that exploded along the 600 block of Dodds Lane in Gladwyne.
Lower Merion Police and Fire confirm an investigation into the explosion. Multiple sources are reporting it was a house explosion, including FOX29 and CBS3, which tweeted a photo from the scene (below).
"The explosion could be heard township wide. We will provide additional information when available,"Lower Merion Police tweeted just before 8:30 p.m.

Montgomery County authorities report an active incident at that location. The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
