Main Line Restaurant Offering Free Meatballs For March Madness
Diners also have a chance to win a $100 gift card to the restaurant if they pick the overall winner of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

A popular Main Line Italian BYOB restaurant is gearing up for two big events: National Meatball Day and March Madness. And in honor of both, Cotoletta in Bala Cynwyd is offering a few sweet deals.
To celebrate National Meatball Day – which is Friday, March 9 and just two days before Selection Sunday for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament – Cotoletta chef and owner Beth Amadio is giving away one complimentary meatball to all diners beginning March 9 through the tournament final on April 2.
Not only that, all diners who come in for dinner ahead of the first round of the tournament – which is March 15 – will be able to make picks for who will win it all. Diners who pick the new national championship team will win a $100 Cotoletta gift certificate.

Cotoletta’s meatball giveaway will continue throughout all six rounds of the tournament.
"I decided to do this to give all of our guests an opportunity to taste my delicious homemade meatballs," Amadio said. "So, even if you order our famous Stack, our seafood entrées, cutlets or pastas, you won’t miss out on our meatballs.”

Cotoletta's homemade meatballs are made with fresh ground beef, pork and veal with a touch of fresh breadcrumbs and seasoned with grated Parmigiano Reggiano, garlic, pepper and basil.
They are baked and then simmered in Amadio's signature homemade marinara gravy.
"It is a recipe that we have been using in my family for many, many years, and I’m delighted to feature them during our Meatball Madness campaign," she said.
Cotoletta is located at 201 Jefferson St. in the Belmont Hills section of Bala Cynwyd and is open for dinner from 5 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday, as well as for brunch only on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
