Man Found Dead Along Side Of Road In Gladwyne: Police

Breaking: A man was found dead along the side of the road in Gladwyne Saturday morning. The Montco DA and local police are investigating.

GLADWYNE, PA — Local police and the Montgomery County District Attorney's office are investigating the death of a man who was found along a roadway in Lower Merion Township Saturday, authorities said.

The unidentified male was discovered Saturday morning in the 1600 block of Spring Mill Road, in the Gladwyne section of Lower Merion Township, according to a joint statement from Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Lower Merion Township Police Superintendent Michael J. McGrath.

The initial investigation revealed the victim died at another location and was placed at the scene, authorities said.

Police received a call just before 7:30 a.m. regarding a man on the side of the road. When officers arrived at the scene, they located the man in the grassy shoulder and determined he was deceased.

An autopsy is scheduled at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death. A description of the deceased was not provided.

The news comes just a day after authorities in Chester County announced a man was found dead along the side of a road in Fallowfield Township. Authorities launched a homicide investigation into that death.
