A Message From State Rep. Neuman: Support Early Childhood Education This Month
October is Pennsylvania's Promise for Children Month.

October is Pennsylvania's Promise for Children Month. The event raises awareness about the importance of early education in a child's educational success. It's also a good opportunity to show appreciation to the families, teachers and leaders who help children reach their promise through early education.

As a member of the Early Childhood Education Caucus, I believe the earlier children start learning, the brighter their futures. It is critical for children to establish a love of learning and good relationships with their educators early on to maximize their learning potential.
Children who are enrolled in high-quality early education programs typically have superior reading, comprehension and mathematical skills, in addition to better social skills, graduation rates and general success later in life.
As your state representative, I will continue to support programs that accomplish those goals, including Keystone STARS, Pre-K Counts, Head Start, Early Intervention, Nurse-family partnership, Keystone Babies and Parent-Child Home Program.
I invite you to share your feedback about this or any other state-related concern.
