YFU USA is Seeking Volunteers for International Students
Youth for Understanding USA (YFU USA) is a non-profit international educational organization (www.yfu-usa.org) dedicated to its mission of preparing young people for their responsibilities and opportunities in a changing, interdependent world. With the help of our host family volunteers, YFU provides study abroad opportunities to high school students from 64 countries worldwide. YFU USA administers its program in the United States through a network of more than 1,500 volunteers across the country. For almost 60 years we have successfully carried out our mission, thanks to the efforts of these volunteers, who each year enable YFU USA to welcome approximately 2,000 international high school age students to this country for a semester or a year of study, and to send over 500 American high school students to study abroad.
YFU USA has immediate openings for volunteers in your area. Volunteers accomplish YFU USA’s goals in many ways, including providing student support, recruiting host families, interviewing prospective host families and/or American Overseas applicants, making presentations, and planning and conducting orientations.
