Red Light Cameras Coming To Pittsburgh Intersections
You'll soon be monitored by a camera to see if you go through a red light at various busy Pittsburgh intersections.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh’s automated red-light enforcement program is on the way.
After city council last year approved a five-year deal with Arizona company Verra Mobility to build and maintain automated red-light cameras for the city, the system is expected to go live over the summer.
When cameras catch a violation, Verra will send the video to police to review. If they believe a violation has occurred, the Pittsburgh Parking Authority will issue a ticket.
