Art Teachers: Thank you, Canon-McMillan

Two high school art teachers briefed the board on the program—and thanked them for keeping the program intact despite funding cuts.

Two art teachers said thank you to school directors for keeping the program intact despite budget cuts on Monday.

The teachers also made a brief presentation to the board, sharing the achievements and work of their students—many pieces of which were hanging in the district administration building where the board meets.

"Thank you so—we're very grateful you kept our program," one said. "We want to offer as much as we can to our students."

School directors lauded the student work on display.

"They are very talented," Director Darla Bowman-Monaco said.

Director Paul Scarmazzi agreed.

"That's great stuff," he said.
