Cecil supervisors approved a liquor license transfer to the Southpointe restaurant this week.

Ever wished you could enjoy a beer or margarita with your burrito or taco at in Southpointe?
That will soon be a reality.
supervisors this week unanimously approved the transfer of a liquor license to the establishment.

A representative for the restaurant said that somewhat later business hours would accompany the new license, although there will be no specific bar area in the establishment.
“We just want to keep it simple,” she told the supervisors.

Procedurally, it takes as long as six to eight weeks to complete the transfer of the liquor license.
In other business:
- The board thanked state , D-Cecil, for the new state flag he acquired for the municipal building.
- The supervisors also reminded residents that the township’s municipal and tax offices will be closed Friday in observance of Good Friday.

- Supervisors approved a subdivision request for the Timber Run plan, located of state Route 980, for its fourth phase. Phase four of the development includes 36 lots on 20.8 acres. The township’s planning commission also recommended the approval.
- Supervisors also approved an $84,800 payment to Stewart Contracting Inc. for work completed at Klinger Park. The money, township Manager Don Gennuso said, will come from the Washington County Redevelopment Authority.
- The township’s next regular monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 7.
