Black Box Named to List of 500 Most Innovative Users of Business Technology

The Lawrence company was lauded this week.

Black Box Corp. this week announced it has again been named one of InformationWeek’s 500 most innovative users of business technology.

The company, based in Lawrence, is a leading communications system integrator dedicated to designing, sourcing, implementing, and maintaining communications solutions.

The annual list, in its 23rd year, highlights innovation in information technology by identifying and recognizing business technology teams that have made a notable difference in how their companies do business.

In selecting the top innovators in business technology, the InformationWeek editors considered qualitative and quantitative factors such as business technology strategies, budgets, deployment, and staffing.

The InformationWeek 500 is open to North American companies with revenues of $250 million or more. The entire list and analytical data can be found on the InfoWeek website.

According to InformationWeek, this year’s 500 companies are focusing their IT efforts on efficiency, innovation and productivity.

"Black Box’s inclusion on the list further emphasizes the company’s place at the forefront of innovative technology and its commitment to providing the most advanced technical services to its customers worldwide," a press release indicated.

“It's an honor to be associated with such innovative companies," Black Box Chief Information Officer Kim Clougherty said in a statement. "This is a great tribute to the efforts and accomplishments of our entire IT team to improve IT practices to benefit both the company and our customers.”
