Blotter: Armed Robbery; Burglaries Investigated in Canonsburg
Canonsburg police are investigating an alleged armed robbery, a residential burglary and a commercial break in.

are investigating an alleged armed robbery Sunday evening downtown.
Montgomery Keith, 31, of Burgettstown, told police he was walking on West Pike Street near J.D. Water Proofing around 7:30 p.m. when he was approached by two men—one white and one black.
That’s when Keith said the black man brandished a silver handgun and asked for money.

Keith told police he handed over about $600, and that the two men walked away toward East Pike Street. Because he did not have a cell phone, he told police he walked to Family Dollar, where an employee allowed him to call 911.
The man with the gun is described as a light-skinned black man who is about 6-feet tall. Keith told officers that he had lines shaved in his eyebrows, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black beanie-style hat.

The other man was described as being white with red hair. Keith said he was about 5-feet-8 inches tall and was wearing a white thermal shirt under a black T-shirt.
Fight reported at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino
Canonsburg police assisted North Strabane with an incident inside early Sunday morning.
Police said “multiple” people were involved. No further information was immediately available.
Burglary reported
Jackie Holt, of 302 Oak Spring Road, told Canonsburg police that someone burglarized her home sometime overnight Dec. 29. No further information was available from police.
Business burglarized twice
Lucian Livolsi told Canonsburg police that someone broke into his business, Southside Heating and Cooling, twice over the past week. The first break in happened around Dec. 27, when someone stole about $1,000 worth of rolled copper wire. The second burglary happened sometime overnight Dec. 29. Livolsi told police that during that incident, someone stole three small motors and some copper fittings.
