Blotter: Canonsburg Police Investigate Crash; Other Incidents
Canonsburg police are investigating numerous incidents.

An Arkansas man was taken to the hospital after members of the extricated him from the car in which he was driving early Wednesday.
were summoned to the scene of an accident on Smithfield Street around 2 a.m., where a vehicle had gone over an embankment and came to rest on its side.

āMr. Careyās lips and nose were swollen and bleeding, and he had several lacerations to his face,ā a police report indicated.
Carey told police that he had been drinking, but was not driving the vehicle.

Once in the emergency room, police said Carey said, āI am obviously way too drunk to driveā only to again tell officers he had not driven.
āMr. Carey became out of control numerous times and had to be sedated by the medical staff,ā the police report indicated.
Police said charges are pending the results of a blood-alcohol content test.
Hit and run reported
Teresa Matuska of 334 W. College St. told police Friday afternoon that someone hit her 2004 Grand Am and broke off the driverās-side mirror.
Grass fire reported
Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a small grass fire along state Route 980 around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Damage reported
Liam Roddey of MacBracey General Contracting was renovating 715 Valley View Terrace and reported to police on Sept. 2 that someone had used black spray paint to write on a wall and a sidewalk there. About $500 worth of damage was estimated, he told police.
Tires punctured
Samantha Polito, of 609 Woodlawn Road told police that three of the tires on her Kia Sportage were punctured as it sat outside her residence. The damage was estimated to be about $500.
Wallet reported lost
Timothy Berty, of 6 S. Depardi Road, Cecil, told police his wallet is missing. Berty told police he last remembered having it while at the Canonsburg McDonalds. He said the wallet contained his driverās license, his Social Security card and $50.
