Blotter: Man Begins Jail Sentence; Copper Theft Reported

A man sentenced for a felony drug charge began his jail sentence Wednesday. Meanwhile, Canonsburg police investigate the theft of copper and decorations.

Robert Crothers began a sentence of 30 days to 23 months in jail on Wednesday—one that was imposed earlier this month by Washington County Judge Janet Moschetta Bell.

charged Crothers with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, as well as a charge of possession of marijuana on Aug. 3.

He pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver on Dec. 13.

Copper theft reported

Lucian Livolsi told that someone broke into a plumbing shop at 517 Park Ave. sometime Christmas Eve and stole $1,000 worth of rolled copper.

Decorations stolen

An unidentified Canonsburg woman told police that someone had been stealing her Christmas decorations—including two decorative penguins. The value of the items was listed at $25.
