A Green Library and the Emerald Isle

Books on being green, Irish authors, and a multitude of things in between...the Frank Sarris Public Library has it!

Kermit may say (sing) "It Isn't Easy Being Green", but here at the Frank Sarris Public Library, we happen to disagree!  Among other features, the library boasts "smart" lighting and plumbing, an energy-efficient HVAC system and energy-saver window blinds, and it has "green" carpeting throughout the building.

If you're interested in being - or becoming - green, yourself, the library has the resources to help you make it happen.  Not only do we have Cool Green Stuff, we have books to inform about hybrids and alternative fuel cars, green wedding planning and a host of other related topics.

Of course, that's not all that the library has...and with St. Patrick's Day fast approaching, what better time is there to give an Irish author a try?  We have books by Cecelia Ahern and the ever-popular Maeve Binchy, the Father Blackie Ryan mysteries by Andrew Greeley, and children's author Eoin Colfer, just to name a few.  Of course, there's no need to limit yourself to modern authors...James Joyce, Bram Stoker, and Oscar Wilde were all born on the Emerald Isle, too!
