PITTSBURGH, PA —A national retailer has closed one of its Pittsburgh-area locations.
Macy's has shuttered its store at the struggling Pittsburgh Mills Mall in Frazer. It's one of 14 stores in 12 states that the department store chain has closed as part of an ongoing downsizing operation.
"In executing our strategy, we continue to review our portfolio and make careful decisions about where and how we invest, including closing underproductive stores and streamlining operations. These decisions are not made lightly," Macy's CEO Tony Spring said in a statement when the closures first were announced.
