Space = Sales at the Frank Sarris Library

More square footage means study rooms, meeting space rentals, and...book sales?

If you hadn't noticed, the Frank Sarris Public Library has more floor space than the library did at its old location, and that additional area has benefits.  For the library, it means more space for materials and programs, and that's always welcome, but it also means we can offer you more in other ways.

As was mentioned in an not long after the library's opening, study rooms are available if a little quiet time is just what the doctor - or the doctoral candidate - ordered, and we have meeting spaces, too.  These rooms have been rented for business meetings, baby showers and birthday parties, to cite just a few examples, and the list of interested folks continues to grow.  Of course, given the lovely new facilities and reasonable rates, that is not unexpected.

There is one side effect of the additional space that might be considered unexpected, and it's something that benefits both the library and the people it serves.  Second Hand Prose is the area of the library that contains books donated for sale, and sales are booming!  Word has gotten out and new-to-us books are being donated, sorted, and put out for sale on a daily basis.  In fact, the $ that began in February was so successful that it was extended and continues to offer great value to the book-lovers of the area.  So, even though might have come to an official end, you can still demonstrate your love of the Sarris Library by donating books - or buying them!
