Canon-Mac Wrestlers Honored by Mayor, Borough

This year they were the Greenville Dual champions and the Virginia Duals champions. They were also WPIAL champions, PIAA Team Duals champions and the PIAA Individual Team champions.

And on Monday night, the wrestling team and its coaches were honored with certificates for those achievements by Canonsburg Mayor David H. Rhome and council during its meeting.

"I never thought we'd be here a year later, but here we are," Rhome said with a smile before presenting a certificate of achievement to each of the players and coaches. "We would like to congratulate each and every one of you. I couldn't be prouder."

The players and coaches shook hands with Rhome and members of council before posing for a group photo.
