Canon-McMillan School Board Hires Teachers
Missed Monday's board meeting? Here's what happened.

There will be some new faces at Canon-McMillan schools when students head back to class next week.
The Canon-McMillan School Board this week hired several temporary teachers and long-term substitutes.
On Monday, the board voted to hire the following professionals for the 2012-13 school year:

- Anna Kravec, elementary school teacher
- Megan Gillespie, elementary school teacher
- Robert Marra, learning support teacher at
The board also voted to change Lauren Bizich from a half-time temporary art teacher to a full-time art teacher.
The board also appointed the following as substitutes for teachers on leave for the upcoming school year:

- Shawna Hixson, full year at
- Kristen Besspiata, first semester at
- Pamela Moniodes, first semester at
- Laureen Trovato, first semester at
The board also appointed the following as department heads for this school year:
- Rick Bell, social studies
- Colleen Yarbrough, foreign languages
- Cheri McIlvaine, music (kindergarten through 12th grade)
- Amy Barbarino, library
