Canonsburg and Chartiers-Houston graduates receive Washington Financial Scholarship

Washington Financial awarded scholarships to Rachel Rozak of Canon-McMillan, Haley Sutton of Chartiers-Houston, and Antonio “Tug” Tatano of Chartiers-Houston.  The Bank awards 10 scholarships to local students each year based primarily on community service and academic achievement. 

Ms. Rozak volunteers as a Candy Striper at the Canonsburg General Hospital and serves dinners at St. Patrick’s Parish.  She plans to study Pre-Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh.

Ms. Sutton actively volunteers as a Chemistry and Math tutor.  Additionally, she donates her time and talents at Horses with Hope, a therapeutic riding program.  Ms. Sutton plans to study Equine Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Otterbein University.

Mr. Tatano volunteers with student government, Relay for Life, Leo Club, National Honor Society and S.A.D.D.  He plans to further his education at Pennsylvania State University.

Other recipients of the Bank's 2014 scholarship include Savannah Ammons, Andrew J. Grosso, Alexa Kostyak, Kaitlin McCracken, Kyle Gregory Mottola, Amy Russell, and Olivia Vanistendael.
