Two former council presidents were present at the meeting, and the first to speak voiced concerns over parking noting vehicles and motorcycles were parking on the sidewalks forcing motorists to walk into the street around them.
The second questioned if proper permits were in place for construction on St. Genevieve Church parking lot as water runoff was directed toward six houses and could cause potential damage. Harvey Treschow, borough engineer, said that the company was contacted and they were given two weeks to correct the problem or the borough won’t issue an occupancy permit.
Another resident asked council to consider tracking crime and police calls on rental properties vs. owner occupied properties and a fifth inquired about getting her tenant rights for medical delivery through a paper alley.
The next council meeting will be June 5 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers.
