Canonsburg Council Discusses Board Appointments

Council quickly moved through discussion of 15 voting items for its final meeting of 2011, then talked about possible appointments and reappointments to various boards—which will occur at the Jan. 3 reorganization meeting.

Borough Manager Terry Hazlett said several nominees were recommended to fill three vacancies on the parks and recreation board. The candidates include Pat Romano, Karen Luksis, David White, Josh Carroll and Tony Trona.

Hazlett was instructed to ask members of other boards to accept another term.

Items expected to be approved Monday , , the 2012 Canonsburg-Houston Joint Authority budget, the distribution of $486,000 in Community Block Grant funds, and ordinances affecting parking fines and nuisance fines.
