Canonsburg Man Jailed on Child Endangerment Charges
Canonsburg Mayor David H. Rhome summoned police after the man's step-daughter came to his office with a swollen face.

Canonsburg police charged a borough man this week with simple assault and endangering the welfare of children for allegedly slapping his step-daughter.
The girl, 16, visited Canonsburg , telling him that her step-father, Paul Hollenbach, 34, had hit her in the face.
Rhome summoned police, who took photos of the girl's swollen face. She was then treated at , police said.

The girl's younger sister also arrived at the office, and told officers she had witnessed the assault. Both girls told police they were afraid to go home, so officers called county Children and Youth Services.
Hollenbach was arraigned before district Judge David Mark and remanded to the Washington County Jail Tuesday on $25,000 straight bond. The Washington County Jail site listed him as an inmate there as of Wednesday morning.
