Canonsburg, North Strabane and Cecil Election Results
Unofficial results are in—with incumbents having a strong showing.

Here are unofficial results from the Washington County Elections Office for the municipal and school board races:
Canonsburg
There are two, four-year seats open in the second ward—and unofficial results show that newcomer Joseph McGarry and incumbent Fran Coleman secured the Democratic nominations.
McGarry received 40.2 percent of the vote to Coleman's 39.8 percent. Anthony Ross received just 19.5 percent of the vote.
There were no Republican challengers.
There is one four-year seat open in the First Ward, and Democratic incumbent A.J. Williams—who is running unopposed— secured that nomination.
In the Third Ward, incumbent Joe Milioto, who currently serves as council president, ran unopposed in the primary—and will face off against Republican newcomer Tim Bilsky in November for the four-year
term.
Cecil Township
Democratic incumbents Tom Casciola and Kevin Camerson secured the Democratic nominations for Cecil Towship supervisor and will join Republican challenger Elizabeth Cowden in the general election.

Casciola received 36.6 percent of the vote, while Camerson captured 27.9 percent.
The three candidates are vying for two six-year terms.

North Strabane
Four candidates will vye for two at-large seats in the general election, with James Piece and Sonia M. Stopperich securing the Republican nominations—beating out incumbent Rob Balogh.
Stopperich received 43.8 percent of the vote, while Piece received 21.5 percent.
On the Democratic side, incumbent William Brooks and former board chairman Brian Spicer secured nominations. Each of the candidates received about 49 percent of the vote.
The top two vote-getters will will six-year terms in the fall.
Canon-McMillan School Board
There are five open seats on the Canon-McMillan School Board.
Incumbent Manuel Pihakis ran unopposed, and secured both the Democratic and Republican nominations.
There are two open seats in Cecil Township, with Michael V. Caporizzo and Mark E. Dopudja winning the Democratic nominations. Dopudja also won the Republican nomination.
There are also two open seats in North Strabane, with incumbent Joseph Zupancic and challenger Maureen M. Helinsky securing the Republican nominations—with 48.9 percent and 50.5 percent of the vote, respectively.
On the Democratic ticket will be Zupanic and Peter J. Moniodes. Zupanic received 54 percent of the vote to Moniodes' 42.8 percent.
The top two vote getters will win four-year terms.
