Cecil Calls Special Meeting to Consider Marcellus Shale Legal Challenge

Board of Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday to consider whether or not to join other municipalities in a legal challenge to Act 13—the state's new Marcellus Shale drilling law.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the main conference room.

Cecil Solicitor John Smith has said he believes that parts of the legislation violate the state constitution and warrant a legal challenge.
