Cecil Township: Notes From Tuesday's Meeting

Here's what you missed at Cecil Township's regular board meeting Tuesday.

Following the reorganization meeting, the first monthly meeting of the 2012 Board of Supervisors was held Tuesday in the municipal building.

Attendance was estimated at around 30 residents.

Police Chief John Pushak reported that the department responded to 7,368 calls for service last year and that it was a quiet holiday season.

The reported 397 calls in 2011.

The public works department was thanked for its prompt and continued attention to the roads during the recent snowstorm.

Notable discussion at the meeting included Supervisor Elizabeth Cowden inquiring about the approval of invoices—and she requested to see all invoices in the future. She also asked to become a secondary signer, hoping to be able to identify areas to save the township money.

At the recommendation of Chairman Michael Debbis, she will become more familiar with the township’s invoice approval process.
