CM Parents: Bullying Subject of Seminar

The event will be held for parents at the Canonsburg Middle School on Wednesday.

Hey, Canon-McMillan parents: Concerned about bullying?

If so, Kristen N. Salamone, Olweus trainer and consultant for the Intermediate Unit 1, and Lori Hedderman, guidance counselor will be conducting a parent session on bullying 6 p.m. Wednesday in the CMS auditorium. 

Organizers said bullying is one of the most important issues facing children today, and that this training will give parents the most up-to-date information on bullying—including statistics, facts and tips on how to handle bullying behaviors.

Participants will explore what bullying is, how to spot it and what to do if you suspect bullying behaviors in your child or others.  

This training will also highlight what the school district is doing to address bullying behaviors.
