Fort Pitt Tunnel Closure Planned for Thursday Night

The inbound (eastbound) Fort Pitt Tunnel on the Parkway West (I-376) will be closed on Thursday night, weather permitting.

The closure will occur from 9 p.m. Thursday through 4 a.m. Friday. The outbound tunnel will remain open and unrestricted. The Liberty Tunnel will also remain open in both directions on Thursday night to accommodate the traffic.

 maintenance crews will be milling and paving the inbound Parkway West near the tunnel entrance and garage.

Signs will be posted to guide motorists onto northbound Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard/West End Exit 69C) to the West End to eastbound Carson Street (Route 837) to the inbound Fort Pitt Bridge.
