GoErie.com reported that police said Dallesandro was off duty and driving impaired "when his eastbound truck crossed the center line on Route 6 in Union Township at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday and struck a westbound Chevrolet Blazer driven by 21-year-old Daryl L. Nunemaker. Nunemaker was pronounced dead at the scene."
Dalessandro is a state trooper in Washington, the website reported. He has been employed by the state police for nine years, a police spokesman told GoErie.com.
