UPDATED: High-Pressure Gas Line Breach Causes Road Closure in Cecil

First responders said Burnside from state Route 980 to Angerer Road is closed until crews from Columbia Gas Transmissions can assess damage to a high-powered gas line there.

Residents of Rose Avenue will still have access to the road, Muse Volunteer Fire Chief Alan Zombeck said.

Sources said a farmer plowing a field may have hit the line, and no injuries were reported.

A Columbia Gas Transmissions spokeswoman did not immediately return a phone call seeking further information Monday evening.
