Local PennDOT Project Causes Road Closure

Lively Road will be closed for three months, a department spokeswoman said.

As part of a multi-million construction project, the state Department of Transportation has closed Lively Road in Somerset Township.

The road closure began Monday and is expected to stay closed for about three months, a PennDOT spokeswoman said.

A marked detour will be in place that uses state Route 519, state Route 136, Brownlee Road, and back to Lively Road.
