Mayor: It's Time to Focus on Neighborhoods
Mayor David H. Rhome announced a new beautification program this week.

Mayor David H. Rhome said it's time for the borough to focus on its neighborhoods.
That's why he has announced the Mayor’s Clean & Beautification Awards—an initiative designed to recognize efforts of residents, non-profit agencies and businesses to maintain or improve Canonsburg’s neighborhoods.
The awards focus on landscaping and structural improvements.

The awards are open to single or multi-family residences, apartment complexes and non-profit, commercial or industrial properties. All submissions must include a photo taken before work begins as well as the completed project.
A group of volunteer judges will screen the entries, and the final selection process will include an on-site visit when work is completed.

"The Mayor’s Clean & Beautification Awards Program will be a collaborative effort to show that Canonsburg welcomes businesses, residents, and visitors to a community that takes pride in its home and commercial environment," Rhome said.
Awards will be given to businesses, groups, and individuals, who volunteer for community clean-up projects.
Applications will be available April 1, borough officials said. For more information, contact the mayor's office at 724-745-1800 x16.
