Medical Helicopter Lands on I-79

A Washington County 911 supervisor confirmed that a medical helicopter had landed on Interstate 79 after a three-vehicle accident happened after noon on Monday.

The supervisor said the crash happened on near the Southpointe exit in the southbound lanes.

Witnesses said it looked as if a truck had "flipped"—but said the wreckage was off the highway just after 1 p.m.

The number of injuries—and where the injured would be taken—was not immediately known.
