(UPDATED) News Nearby: Death of Intruder by Homeowner Under Investigation
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said the man died from a single gunshot wound early Thursday.
The Washington County Coroner has identified the man shot and killed by a Centerville resident after he "awoke hearing forcible entry being made into his home."
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said the cause of death for Elijah J. Malanosky, 30, was a single gunshot wound, and that he was pronounced dead at 6:04 a.m. Thursday.
The manner of death is pending an autopsy, Warco said. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. Thursday according to a release.
