North Strabane Round-Up
See what went on at Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting.

On Tuesday, North Strabane held its monthly non-legislative meeting of the Board of Supervisors. While no action was taken, the board and other township officials reported on several issues.
Paulette Moyer, assistant manager, announced that the Planning and Zoning meeting originally schedule for Sept. 19 has been moved to next Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m.
The planning board will consider an application by Jack and Renee Chesnic to rezone 7.398 acres from R-3, residential, to C-1, commercial, for the purpose of constructing multi-family dwellings. If approved by the planning board, the board of supervisors will be asked to schedule a public hearing on the matter.

The board announced that at its next legislative meeting they will consider hiring a full-time Parks and Recreation Director.
Police Chief Dan Strimel announced that the department has completed the He hopes to have a car available to demonstrate this technology to the public at an upcoming meeting.

“This is not a big brother tool,” Strimel said. “If you are not doing something wrong, it won’t be able to pull up your information. It is only if you have an open warrant.”
The North Strabane Fire Department will be holding an open house on Oct. 8 to kick off Fire Safety Week. The event will be held from noon until 5 p.m.
The Parks and Recreation board will hold their monthly meeting Monday Sept. 26 at 6 pm.
The Board of Supervisors will hold its regular legislative meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm.
