• Storms rip through region, bringing flash flooding and toppling trees (observer-reporter.com subscription) — Severe storms around Canonsburg dumped nearly four inches of rain nearby, flooding roads, knocking out power, and forcing Canon-McMillan schools to cancel or delay classes. North Strabane crews handled downed trees, wires, and a water rescue, while Star Lake concertgoers waded through rising water before the show resumed. Residents were urged to watch for additional storms and possible flooding.
