PennDOT: I-79 Project Completed Before Schedule

The more than $15-million dollar project was completed about a month ahead of the scheduled date.

The state Department of Transportation announced this week that a $15.2 million project on Interstate 79 has been completed about a month before expected.

According to a release, this concrete-patching project was completed during the evenings—8 p.m. to 6 am.—and only one direction of traffic was impacted at a time.

The project limits were from the Canonsburg exit on 79 to the Allegheny County line.
