Police Blotter: Canonsburg Man Calls Police, Asks to Go to Jail

Police reports from Canonsburg and Cecil.

A Canonsburg man twice called borough police Friday to ask that they take him to jail.

Borough police said Albert Johnson, 32, of 451 Highfield Ave. first called around 9:30 p.m. to tell them he had outstanding warrants and wished to go to jail. According to a report, Johnson was visibly intoxicated, and when police arrived, officers said there was no reason to take him into custody, according to a report.

But then Johnson called back around 11 p.m. from in front of Sarris Candies. He reportedly told police he didn’t ā€œget alongā€ with people and again asked that he be taken to jail.
