Police Blotter: Little Caesars Burglarized; Pot Plants Seized from Canonsburg Apartment

Canonsburg Police are investigating both incidents.

An employee at the Little Caesars Pizza in Canonsburg told police on Monday that someone had broken in sometime Friday night.

According to a police report, video surveillance showed that the suspect entered through a door around 11:21 p.m. Friday and went directly to the cash register, stealing $193. The burglar then went into an office, where the employee told police he rifled through drawers to find a set of keys that, once in his possession, he used to unsuccessfully open a safe.

But in the process, the suspect stole another $96 in cash from the office.

Canonsburg police are investigating the incident. A description of the suspect was not immediately disclosed.

Marijuana Plants Seized

Police said a borough man is being charged by summons for growing two marijuana plants at his Spruce Street apartment.

While responding to a call of a suspicious person in the area behind 317 Spruce St., Canonsburg police said they saw the two plants growing in pots on a deck. A report indicates each plant was about 2-feet high.

Police said when they knocked on the door, Percy Dudley, 50, admitted that the pot plants were his.
