Practice Makes Perfect

Members of the and fire departments met last week for a large-animal rescue training session.

The two departments operate the only large-animal rescue league in Washington County—and firemen say that while the procedure for saving an animal is the same as when saving a person, the approach is far different.

Also used differently are the tools of the trade: harnesses, ropes and slides.
