Recreation, Conservation Grants Available

The deadline to apply is April 4.

is urging local organizations to apply for state grants that support recreation and conservation infrastructure projects.

Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is accepting grant applications through April 4.

“Last year, groups in my district received more than $600,000 for projects to improve parks and waterways,” Solobay, D-, said. “Hardworking community officials and volunteers worked together to make it happen.”

DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation administers the Community Conservation Partnerships Program, which combines several state and federal funding sources into one grant program.

This year, the DCNR grant program is prioritizing grant proposals for the rehabilitation of park and recreation facilities, connection of trail projects that close gaps in major statewide greenways and improving access to waterways.
