Reminder: Drug Take-Back Program Saturday
If you have leftover, expired or unwanted prescription of over-the-counter medications, Canonsburg police ask that you dispose of it Saturday at the department's drug take-back program.

If you have leftover or expired over-the-counter or prescription medication in your bathroom cabinet, ask that you bring it to them instead of tossing it in the trash or flushing it down the commode.
The borough police department will collect those kinds of medicationsāno questions askedāfrom 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canonsburg Shop 'N Save and the Canonsburg Police Department.
, more than 17 pounds of unused prescription medications the first day alone.

The program is sponsored by Mayor David H. Rhome, the Washington County Chiefs of Police Association, the Washington County District Attorney and the United States Department of Justice.
Residents need only place pills in a plastic bag. All labels should be removed from liquid prescription bottles.
