Spring Cleaning Under Way in Canonsburg

Get out your lawn mower, and break out the weed whacker—because ’s code enforcement will be out all month to ensure residents and businesses are in compliance with borough regulations.

Code officers are visiting every street and alley in the borough this month, checking specifically for high grass, trash, illegal vehicles and dilapidated structures.

Code enforcement officials will also enforce the borough ordinance that prohibits garbage/waste being set out for pickup before Thursday.

“Code enforcement is essential in supporting a town’s quality of life,” Councilman Rich Russo said. “The vast majority of Canonsburg residents want and appreciate strong code enforcement. Both residential and commercial areas need to be safe and well maintained.”
