Top Five Things You Need To Know This Week

Here's what's going on in Canon-McMillan Patch land this week:

1. The Canon-McMillan school board meeting at 7 p.m. tonight for its voting meeting. Among the items for consideration is the 2011-12 budget, which in its current form includes no tax increase. A copy of the proposed final budget is attached. The meeting will be held in the district administration building at 1 N. Jefferson Ave. For more information, visit the district website here.

2. North Strabane Township supervisors will hold their nonlegislative meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building. A copy of the agenda for the regular monthly meeting, as well as the agenda for a special meeting to be held prior to the start of the regular meeting are attached.

3. The Canonsburg-Houston Joint Authority will hold its regularly monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Frank Sarris Public Library on North Jefferson Ave.

5. Little Lake Theater Co. will present "Stanton's Garage" in McMurray starting this week. "Stanton's Garage" is the story of a Chicago surgeon and her fiancé’s teenage daughter who are stranded with their broken-down car in a small-town service station on a Missouri highway on the way to the surgeon's wedding.
