Two Charged After Alleged Assault in Cecil
A man from Muse and another from Canonsburg are in jail on assault and other charges.
Cecil Township police charged two men after an alleged assault at Juniper and Belgium Hill roads Saturday night.
Police said a 17-year-old male was walking in that area late Saturday, when he recognized a car driven by Michael Terrence Long.
The juvenile told police he jumped in front of the car because he believed that Long, 19, of Muse, and his passenger, Keith Farmer, 19, of Canonsburg, owed him money.

That's when police said Farmer jumped out of the car to confront the juvenile, allegedly slicing the teen's arm with a pocket knife during a confrontation in the street.
Police said Farmer and Long then fled to Long's Locust Street residence, where officers apprehended both men.

Police said drug paraphernalia was in plain view, and officers found credit cards and weapons they believe could be stolen.
Cecil police charged Farmer with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.
Long was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
Both were arraigned early Sunday morning before district Judge Ethan Ward and then remanded to the Washington County Jail after being unable to post $25,000 bond.
Preliminary hearings for both Farmer and Long are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17 before district Judge Valarie Costanzo.
